Glyph Dash Prototype Is Live

Our first playable game prototype is out on itch.io, and we would love to hear what players think.

June 25, 2026

Today feels like a real first step for Dirty Potato Studio: Glyph Dash is live on itch.io.

We are still a very new indie team, still learning by doing, still breaking things carefully, and still figuring out what kind of studio we want to grow into. Releasing this prototype is part of that. It is not perfect, and it is not pretending to be. It is playable, it is ours, and it is ready for real people to try.

Play Glyph Dash on itch.io

Glyph Dash is a fast-paced ability game where movement, timing, and quick reactions sit at the center of the experience. The current prototype is rough in places, unfinished in others, and wide open to change. That is exactly why we wanted to share it now, while feedback can still shape the game in meaningful ways.

If you play it, we would love to know what you notice. What feels good? What feels awkward? What confused you? What made you smile? What made you want another run? Any honest note helps us learn.

What we are thinking about next

We already have a list of things we want to explore as Glyph Dash keeps growing:

  • Background music and improved audio atmosphere
  • Controller support
  • Expanded player abilities
  • More polish, balance, and quality-of-life improvements
  • A stronger visual identity as the game takes shape

One important note: the current cover art is AI-generated placeholder art. We are actively looking for an artist to help replace it with original artwork that better represents Glyph Dash and the personality we want Dirty Potato Studio to grow into.

Thanks for checking out our first prototype. We are new, we are learning, and we are genuinely excited to build with feedback from players.

You can leave a comment on itch.io or reach us at [email protected]. Try Glyph Dash, tell us what you think, and help us make it better.
